When you use the App, we may automatically collect:

• Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)
• Location data (with your permission, to show nearby stores)
• Usage data (features used, timestamps, interaction patterns)

2. How We Use Your Information

2.1 Analytics and Error Monitoring

We use third-party analytics and error monitoring services to improve the App's reliability and user experience:

• Sentry.io collects crash reports and error logs, including device information, app state at time of error, stack traces, and technical diagnostics to help us identify and fix bugs
• Google Analytics tracks app usage patterns, feature usage, screen views, and performance metrics to help us understand how users interact with the App

These services may associate data with anonymous identifiers but do not have access to your email address or other personally identifiable information unless an error occurs while you're logged in.

2.2 Other Uses

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the App's functionality
• Display supply availability information from user reports
• Show stores and supplies near your location
• Process premium subscriptions and payments
• Send notifications (supply alerts, disaster alerts) if you've opted in

3. Location Data

3.1 Foreground Location

We use your location while the App is open to show nearby stores and supply reports. This requires your permission and is collected only when:

• You grant location permission to the App
• You are actively using the App

3.2 Background Location (Store Visit Reminders)

If you enable the optional "Store Visit Reminders" feature, the App uses background location to monitor your proximity to nearby stores. When you leave a store after a visit, the App sends a local notification prompting you to report supply availability.

• This feature is entirely opt-in and disabled by default
• Location data for this feature is processed entirely on your device
• Your background location is never transmitted to our servers
• You can disable this feature at any time in Settings

You can revoke location permission at any time through your device settings. Without location access, the App will not be able to show nearby stores.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

4.1 Public Information

Supply reports and store status reports you submit are visible to all App users. These reports do not display your name or email, but are associated with your account internally.

4.2 Service Providers

We may share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including:

• Supabase (database and authentication)
• Stripe (payment processing)
• Apple and Google (third-party sign-in / identity providers)
• Sentry.io (error monitoring and crash reporting)
• Google Analytics (usage analytics and app performance)
• Resend (transactional email delivery)
• Expo (push notification delivery)

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Supply reports are retained for historical reference but may be aggregated or anonymized over time. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure password hashing
• Row-level security policies in our database
• Regular security assessments

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
